Hospital Automation

 In the financial year 2011-12, government hospitals have started automation work. This year National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology, Government Employees Hospital and Mohammadpur Fertility Center have been issued work orders for automation work.  Progress is satisfactory.  In the financial year 2012-13, National Institute of Cardiology and National Orthopedic Institute have been brought under the automation program, the implementation of which is in progress.


 The purpose of hospital automation is to perform all the work of the hospital through information technology. Gradually, automation technology will be introduced in all the government hospitals of the country.  For this, an open source software called Open-MRS (Open Medical Record System) has been selected. This work will be implemented under the Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Development Program 2011-16.
